Not necessarily.
A higher fiber percentage may reduce the amount of polymer used, but it can also reduce flexibility, tear resistance, or seal strength if the formulation is not engineered properly.
There is usually an optimization point rather than a simple "more is better" relationship.
For a flexible bag, I would look at:
- bamboo fiber percentage by weight;
- verified biobased carbon content;
- film thickness;
- tensile and tear performance;
- seal strength;
- actual failure rate in use;
- appropriate end-of-life pathway.
A bag with a lower fiber percentage that consistently performs may create less waste than a high-fiber bag that tears and requires double-bagging.
